About Me

My name is Julie. I’m a hopeful Canadian gal who cares about this big beautiful planet and wants to make better choices in her everyday life. You could call me a green newbie. We all have to start somewhere, right?

It seems like whenever I hear about the environment and the health of our planet, the news just gets more depressing. From climate change to unprecedented biodiversity loss, unabated deforestation, unsustainable agriculture, and the polluting of our waterways and oceans with garbage and toxic chemicals.

We can’t have a prosperous future on a depleted planet.

It only takes one person to start a movement. Luckily, the sustainability movement has already begun. The ball is now rolling. More and more eco-conscious companies are on the rise, and existing companies are starting to change their practices.

As a conscious consumer and responsible human, we can make small positive decisions like choosing to buy from green businesses, reducing our consumption, and donating money to organizations fighting for environmental change.

I truly believe that if everyone continues to make small changes in the way they buy products in their everyday lives, they can make a significant change by forcing companies to change their exploitive ways. If we refuse to buy their products, they’ll have no choice but to adapt to the demand for greener products and services.

I’m not a hemp-wearing vegan living on an earthship (more power to ‘ya if you are). But I love this planet. It’s my home (and yours too) and my desire to help it heal is real.

Will my efforts make any positive impact on the environment? Nobody really knows and there’ll always be a critic out there that will try to “poo poo” my efforts.

I believe that our daily choices and lifestyle changes can snowball into a positive difference for the earth…

And I think that you believe as well. You’re an optimist like me.

I sincerely hope that you’ll join me in my efforts to “greenify” my life (so-to-speak), and be inspired to change your own habits for the sake of you and your family’s health, and the planet’s health.
